Joint Managing Directors David Holden and David Brown, as Editor and Advertisement Sales Manager respectively, have successfully run the company’s magazine, Emergency Services Times, since its creation in November 2000. They later launched the magazine’s Who’s Who Directory (2003) and then a UK show for the emergency services sector, The Emergency Services Show (2006). Their high regard in the industry and thorough understanding of the emergency services market place means that David and David, together with their passionate team, are committed to furthering the success of Broden Media’s products.

David Brown is the company’s Joint Managing Director and Sales Director. With almost 30 years’ experience in trade publishing and exhibition organising, 24 of those within the emergency sector, his strength lies in building valuable working relationships with our customers. He is passionate about the company’s products and believes in offering affordable, cost effective opportunities for our customers to help them reach their target markets through our various media. David feels passionately that market knowledge is key to understanding how to improve sales of advertising and exhibition space and, in turn, providing value for money for our customers.
DAVID HOLDEN | MANAGING DIRECTOR
David Holden is the Joint Managing Director of the company and Editor of Broden Media’s publications. Having edited magazines in the emergency sector for past 13 years, he has built up an enviable contact list of press officers, PR companies and editorial contributors from whom he can obtain relevant and interesting content for the titles. He is also an advocate of publishers having a strong online presence and is responsible for managing the production of the magazine’s website and the EST e-newsletter.
David works closely with Broden’s designer to produce the magazine and is responsible for setting the design specifications of all of the company’s publications. He has a keen eye for detail and is also involved in the overall organisation of Broden Media’s shows, with a focus on marketing through e-mail campaigns and managing production of the websites.

Carol Fox is responsible for sales across the company’s products – the magazine, directory and exhibitions. Her main focus is on managing sales of stand space at the company’s exhibitions and advertisement sales in the magazines.

James Ryan is responsible for sales across the company’s products – the magazine, directory and exhibitions. His main focus is on managing sales of stand space at the company’s exhibitions and advertisement sales in the magazines.
LESLEY STEVENSON | OPERATIONS MANAGER
Lesley Stevenson is an experienced salesperson and exhibition operations manager. Lesley manages the operations side of Broden Media’s exhibition portfolio, which includes The Emergency Services Show. Lesley is also responsible for the day-to-day office management of Broden Media and manages sales of sponsorship packages at the company’s events.
EMMA NICHOLLS | MARKETING MANAGER
Emma Nicholls is the Marketing Manager for Broden’s products, primarily The Emergency Services Show. She has vast experience of working with exhibition organisers and PR teams to maximise exposure of events and her goal is to engage with both visitors and exhibitors to promote the event and to boost the show’s online exposure.
